Review: Evian Natural Mineral Waters Facial Spray

Hello~
Today I’ll be sharing with you an Evian review – The famous Evian Mineral Waters Facial Spray or Face mist!

The Evian Mineral Waters Facial Spray is natural mineral water which refreshes, tones and moisturizes*

Wake up your skin and senses with Evian Facial Spray! Used daily, Evian Facial Spray increases your skin hydration*, helps fix makeup, and offers you constant freshness and purity. From the French Alps, Evian natural mineral water has a balanced mineral composition and a neutral pH suiting all skin stypes. (*outer layers of the skin)

I’m guessing by the ‘outer layers’, they mean the epidermis?

Directions: Spray 15 cm away from the face. You can choose to either dab the mist away or leave to dry. Use several times during the day.

The Evian Facial Spray is one of the most famous hydrating face mists. It can also help fix make up. Some people argue about the benefits of spraying water on the face, is it really worth buying? What’s good for your skin?

Tap water is different from the Evian Natural Face Spray as it does not contain pesticides found in unfiltered tap water.

You can incorporate the face mist in your skin care routine as a toner or pre step. It can help aid in the absorption of your skin care products!

My auntie bought the 150ml bottle at Sasa for 44 Hong Kong dollars, which is around $5.42 AUS.

The product is in a pressurized spray can with a plastic white nozzle. The packaging is not at all flimsy and feels very firm and sturdy.

There is actually an expiry date printed at the bottom! I guess it lasts for around 3 or 4 years.

My skin feels refreshed every time I use this, but I doubt the moisturizing properties. It dries in a matter of seconds and it’s a lovely fast fix for when you’re feeling unwell or hot. I like to use this when I’m sick or too sleepy for school because it is refreshing and cool. A very good pick me up, and you can bring this to school since it comes in a large range of sizes including an airplane friendly 50ml!

However, once dried, my skin feels tight, dry and uncomfortable, just like when you haven’t moisturized straight out of the shower. So I never fail to apply my moisturizer after use.
It does help fix my makeup though, as it stops my makeup from settling into dry patches. It’s a very good and cheap alternative to finishing sprays.

You can also use it as a facial mask. Spray a plain facial mask sheet (You can buy it on eBay) with the face mist or you can use it in conjunction with a homemade facial paste.

Overall, I would repurchase this as it’s a fairly good product for the price.

How do I apply my BB cream?

I've made a separate tutorial with tips and tricks on how I apply my BB cream with the Evian Facial Spray to achieve a dewy look.

Review: Benefit Porefessional Primer

Hello~
I’m back with a quick post on a Benefit review. There is a wide range of Benefit products but today I'll be talking about The Benefit Porefessional Primer!

Apply this silky, lightweight formula for translucent pore coverage and smoother-than-smooth skin
How to use:
Under makeup – Pat on problem areas and blend with fingertips
Over makeup – Pat on lightly over makeup and blend

The Benefit Porefessional comes in a 22ml plastic screwtop tube.

I usually apply The Benefit Porefessional on my cheeks leaning closer to my nose, nose and forehead because that is where all my big pores are.

It’s extremely lightweight, silky and oil-free, due to the silica present in it. Most, if not all, primers have to have silica in it because that is what gives you the silky and smooth effect people aim for.

The Porefessional is a light beige/flesh colour which easily blends transparent on the skin. It develops a matte finish which is perfect for oily skin individuals. Once blended, it has a powdery texture that does not look cakey or heavy.

To achieve the most flawless effect, pat the primer on instead of spreading it over the skin. This makes the product more concentrated on areas to deliver the optimum results.

My pores appear minimized and barely there. It works ever better under my Etude House Magic BB Cream as I found that it made my makeup last longer and prevent shine throughout the day.

Remember, less is more. Just a small amount will go a long way.

Overall, this is a very good product but I’m sure there are cheaper primers out there which can deliver the same effect.

I hope you guys enjoyed my Benefit review - Feel free to subscribe and follow

Review: Bioderma Sensibio H2O (Créaline H2O)

Today I’ll be reviewing my current skincare favourite from Bioderma! The Bioderma Sensibio H2O aka the Créaline H2O.

A Bioderma innovation, Sensibio H2O gently cleanses and removes makeup from face and eyes. The micelles contained in its formula effectively micro-emulsify impurities while maintaining the cutaneous balance. Soothing active ingredients prevent the skin feeling irritated. Excellent cutaneous and ocular tolerance.

Directions for use: Soak a cotton pad, cleanse/remove makeup and dry gently.

There are a lot of different sizes for this product but I bought the 500ml bottle.

The Bioderma range comes in Sensitive and Oily skin (Click to get directed to the Bioderma website). The Sensibio is pink while Sébium is in a green bottle. The Sébium is different from the Sensibio as the actual water is a pretty tinted blue. I actually have oily skin but I was worried about the colouring so I chose the Sensibio.

There is no alcohol or silicon in the ingredients list which is a major plus for me.

This Bioderma Sensibio cleanser looks just like normal water but with amazing properties. It can remove face and eye makeup all in one.

It smells a little like a light sunscreen which I don’t mind at all. It is labelled as fragrance free though.

The face makeup removing properties is great and it’s enough for me as I rarely wear heavy face makeup. It removes eye makeup well in one sweep, but for face makeup, you’ll probably have to go over your face a couple of times. I recommend you use another cleanser after this product if you like wearing full face makeup.

My diet really took its toll on my skin ever since I came back from China. I had close to flawless skin around 10 months ago but ever since I came back from China, my skin has been acting out. My family believes that I’m breaking out because the food in China is ‘purer’ than foods in Australia. I do believe that in a way, but I’m sure some environmental factors play a major role in it as well. This Bioderma cleanser has helped me so much.

I’ve tried countless Asian and drugstore cleansers, but none actually continued to work as well as the Bioderma. Laneige, Biore, Nivea, DHC and Dermatologica all broke me out so I was extremely enthusiastic when I found my holy grail product.

My skin has been less red and my acne is controlled.

Overall, I’ve already stocked up a few bottles and I recommend this for everyone!
P.S I bought this in Guangzhou, China because it is a lot cheaper compared to online and Australian stores. Apparently France is selling this Bioderma Sensibio at the cheapest price so if you ever travel there; please make sure to check this product out!

Review: Etude House BB Magic Cream in Refreshing

<!--[if gte mso 9]> <![endif]

Hello 안녕하세요 ~
Sorry for the long hiatus! My skin suffered tremendously during the last month and it took a while for me to be happy with my current state.
I’m back with an Etude House BB Cream review – The Etude House BB Magic Cream in Refreshing (for some reason, their US website doesn't display this product but they do have the product from the same range)

How do I apply my BB cream?

I've made a separate tutorial here filled with tips on BB cream usage.

Magic BB Cream offers natural looking coverage that nourishes, corrects skin complexion and protects against sun damage. Contains skin soothing and nourishing Aloe Vera, Chamomile, Madecassol and Centella Asiatica Promotes flawless complexion with natural ‘No Makeup Look’

To Use: After facial cleansing, pump a pea size amount and dot your forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. Blend outwards using fingers or brush depending on your preference.

The Etude House BB cream comes in two varieties, Refreshing and Moisturizing. Refreshing is for oily/combination skin while Moisturizing is best suited for dry skin.

This BB cream contains 35ml and comes in a squeezy plastic pump tube.

I tend to almost never throw away the packaging box because they I am a hoarder – haha

I like that Etude House has English and Korean for their products because I like to see what ingredients I’m putting on my face.

The shade is a very natural colour, perfect for people unblessed with white, glowing skin like me. BB creams tend to come in very light shades so I was pleasantly surprised with the product. For someone who cringes at the sight of unblended foundation lines, this is perfect because it blends beautifully. This Etude House BB cream is great for people with darker skin and can't seem to find a bb cream for their skin.

It smells like light baby powder which I don’t mind at all. It is completely unnoticeable after a few minutes.

The Etude House BB cream is moisturizing and not at all drying. If your skin is dry or prone to dry patches, I recommend this to range to you! If this was for oily skin, who knows how much more moisturizing the ‘dry skin’ variety is. The only downside is that I turned extra shiny throughout the day. It has zero oil control, but it’s nothing a good powder can’t fix.

Overall, it’s a very nice product and I wouldn’t mind purchasing it again especially since it's at a budget friendly $10. I bought it for $11.98 from this eBay store. Check it out! They provide samples as well
